Chiptuning

Item detail

Chip tuning refers to changing or modifying an EPROM chip in a car's or other vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU) to achieve better performance, whether it be more power, cleaner emissions, or better fuel economy.

Chip tuning refers to changing or modifying an EPROM chip in a car's or other vehicle's electronic control unit (ECU) to achieve better performance, whether it be more power, cleaner emissions, or better fuel economy.

The Engine Control Unit (ECU) in modern automobiles, combined with advanced engine technology, allows for precise control over various engine functions including spark timing, fuel injection, throttle, valve timing, valve lift, and other parameters. Additionally, the ECU can manage electronic throttle control, valve timing, boost control in turbocharged engines, ABS, automatic transmission, speed governor, and electronic stability control system. Adjusting ignition timing advance can lead to performance gains, but it requires high-octane gasoline to prevent pre-ignition detonation. Manufacturers often design for lower specific timing and fuel quality, which can limit performance. Modifying fuel maps to optimize gasoline combustion ratio may enhance performance, but manufacturers typically prioritize emissions and engine reliability over performance. Turbocharged vehicles can benefit from increased boost levels, especially low-pressure turbo setups. Alterations to the ECU map may be necessary for engine, intake, or exhaust modifications to ensure proper air-to-fuel ratio and maximize performance gains. Tuning the ECU can improve performance and drivability without risking engine damage, highlighting the importance of choosing a knowledgeable and professional tuner. Upgrading the ECU typically involves using plug-in modules or special tuner devices that connect through diagnostic ports or directly to circuit boards, with maps provided by tuners.

Suspension Coilover

Coilover systems enhance handling and performance by integrating shock absorbers with coil springs. They allow adjustment of ride height using wrenches and stiffness/ride quality via adjustment knobs. Two main types are available: sleeve design kits, less expensive but less performance-oriented, and true coilovers, replacing both spring and shock with integrated adjustment systems. True performance enthusiasts seek these for optimal performance, durability, and reliability in suspension setups.

Brake Update

Brakes are vital for vehicle safety, especially when engine performance is enhanced. Our brake upgrades feature specially engineered carbon fiber-based brake pads for superior stopping power, even at low temperatures. We replace the brake fluid with high-performance fluid with a higher boiling point. Slotted brake discs help dissipate heat and gases during hard braking, preventing brake pad glazing and fluid boiling. Available in 4 to 8 pot configurations for various vehicles, including commercial ones.

Frequently Asked Question

There is no removal or addition of hardware parts, so there is no visible indication that the car is modified.
Most of the latest diagnostic tools can't find any difference because Engine electronics behave as if it was original.

Local garages usually lack the skills or the equipment to read out the file inside your ECU. To do this, they need to send ECU to the manufacturer.

The PIASINIENGINEERING software update is well-adapted to the existing transmission of your vehicle. It gives the best in performance, acceleration, and drivability.

PIASINIENGINEERING installation does not affect the wear and tear.
How you drive and take care of your vehicle (correct and regular servicing) does affect its conditions.

Generally, software optimization will provide a power increase and a lower fuel consumption.
